The Music & Worship Ministry of Lexington Baptist exists for two reasons, to fulfill the scriptural commands to “sing praises to the Lord” and “make music unto Him” and because worship is always the response to God for who He is and for what He has done.

There are so many different taste preferences in music today, and each church develops its own unique worship style. Here at LBC we approach our worship with a “Blended” format of worship, using both contemporary and historical/traditional elements of musical and artistic expression. This simply means that, “Yes, we do sing hymns of the Church with the piano, organ, and orchestra,” and “Yes, we use drums, guitars, and praise teams with newer songs of praise.” What determines the music we use in worship is time spent prayerfully seeking God’s direction for how we should worship Him.

We pray that you will find that your worship of God here at LBC is enhanced or helped by the many people who give their talents and gifts for the glory of God.

There Is A Place For You In The Music And Worship Ministry!

If singing or playing an instrument is not your gift, other forms of creative worship find their expression here at LBC. The One Accord Worship Team is for anyone interested in interpretive movement and worship dance. The Drama Ministry of LBC is always seeking volunteers to participate in the Lexington Passion Play and drama in worship throughout the year.
