Meet The L.B.C.C. Staff


Robin Temples

Robin Temples, MA, LMFT, LMFT-S, LPES

Director of LBCC, Robin is also receiving clients for therapy. She holds a Masters degree in School Psychology from USC.  She also graduated from Columbia Biblical Seminary at Columbia International University (C.I.U.) with a Masters in Counseling. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is also a licensed supervisor. Robin has fifteen years experience as a school psychologist, working with children of all ages and consulting with teachers and parents in behavior management. She has taught graduate level courses to educators about working with families and has been a licensed counselor for over ten years. Robin is married and has three sons, two step daughters and five grandchildren.  She is a member of Lexington Baptist Church.  Her particular areas of expertise are family therapy, marital and pre-marital therapy, parenting, divorce issues, stepfamilies, spiritual issues, and women’s concerns.  She especially enjoys working with people seeking deeper intimacy with God and with others.


Elizabeth Freeman

Elizabeth V. Freeman, MSW, LISW

Beth Freeman holds a Masters degree in social work as well as advanced clinical training as an Independent Social Worker. She is a member of the State and National Association of Social Workers. Beth has over twenty-five years of experience working in schools, child welfare, juvenile justice, court system, adoptions, child and adult trauma issues and mental health. She specializes in child and parent treatment and training, special play techniques, child and adult trauma recovery, and grief/loss and divorce issues. She has done extensive training in child and family mental health issues in SC and has provided both national and international workshops. Beth has also taught college level human service courses. She is a member of Lexington Baptist Church and has served as a short-term missionary overseas as well as in the USA. Beth is married, is the mother of two and has five grandchildren.


Angie Lamp

Angie Lamp, MA, LPC

Angie Lamp has more than seven years with LBCC, and she is currently serving as Assistant Director and as a counselor.  She graduated from Columbia International University with a Masters degree in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience in marital and family therapy, pre-marital counseling, women’s issues, children and parenting issues, and spiritual growth issues. You may have spoken with Angie on the phone, since she receives all of the Center’s initial telephone calls – facilitating the client in selecting the appropriate therapist. She and her husband, Rick, live in Lexington. They have been a part of the First Baptist Church of Lexington for over ten years where she teaches and helps Rick in his role as the Children’s Pastor. They have adopted twin girls internationally.


Melissa Tuten

Melissa Tuten, MA, LPC

Melissa Tuten is serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor at LBCC. She has a Masters Degree in Counseling from Columbia International University. Melissa has worked with children and adolescents as both a high school teacher and dorm parent in Kenya. She is active in her local church and currently serves on the missions committee there. Melissa grew up in Georgia and comes from a family of six. She has experience in the following areas: young women’s issues, singles, divorce, grief, step-family issues, missionary and missionary kid (MK) concerns, and adolescents issues.


Rose Behrens

Rose Mary Behrens, M.Ed., LPC

Rose Mary holds a BA from Winthrop University and a Masters Degree from USC. In addition, she has completed post-graduate work at the College of Charleston, the Citadel, and Columbia College. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over twenty years. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Rose Mary has over thirty years experience with children and families, working with children of all ages and consulting with parents and teachers. Rose Mary is married with two step-sons and is a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. She has developed specialties in play therapy, divorce issues, grief and loss, and other children’s issues. She has extensive training in parenting, child and family concerns, and behavior management as well.


Cathy Warn

Cathy Warn, MA, LPC

Cathy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from Montreat College and a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Cathy holds membership in two National Honor Societies, Alpha Chi and Psi Chi.  She is a clinical member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is the Counseling Programs Administrator for Columbia International University’s Grad Clinical and Pastoral Counseling Programs. Cathy and her husband of 29 years have two daughters, one son, and one granddaughter. They have enjoyed active membership in their local church. Cathy has experience in grief and loss, parenting, adolescent and young adult issues, aging issues, relationship concerns, growth and spiritual development, divorce recovery, pre-marital, marital and family therapy.


Kelly Weaver

Kelly Weaver, M.Ed., ED.S., LPC

Kelly Weaver is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with a Masters Degree in School Psychology and a Specialist Degree in Agency Counseling. She received her LPC while working full-time in a local school system as the Mental Health Counselor. Adding Kelly’s private practice work gives her more than twelve years experience in the counseling field. Her specialties include working with children and teens, families, couples, and women and with spiritual growth and development. She has a special expertise in Play Therapy. She is married with two young children. Kelly and her family are members of First Baptist Church Lexington, where Kelly helps teach the Marriage Builders Class, leads ladies’ Bible studies and counseling groups, and teaches in the children’s program.


Linda Suleski

Linda Suleski, MA, LMFT

Linda Suleski holds a Masters degree in counseling from Central Connecticut State University. She is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Linda has a heart for working with clients from a systemic perspective helping them integrate outside support systems to assist in their recovery when appropriate. Her areas of expertise include substance abuse, ADHD in adults and children, women’s issues, couple’s counseling, parenting issues, grief and loss. She also incorporates the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with anxiety/ depression. Linda is married with two sons and one granddaughter. Both she and her husband have recently relocated to the Columbia area from Connecticut and are excited to be members of the Fellowship Baptist Church where she is looking forward to actively participating in their women’s ministry.


Linda Suleski

Bryan Rabon, MDiv, LPC-I

Bryan Rabon has a heart for helping hurting people. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University where he received a B.S. in Psychology with a secondary major in Religion and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity with a focus in Counseling. He also has done post-graduate work at Liberty University and is currently a Licensed Intern completing his hours towards becoming a Professional Counselor. Bryan has had experience in marital counseling, working with adolescents, and dealing with spiritual issues. He has a particular interest in working with adolescents, marriage and family issues, parenting issues, and men’s issues. Bryan is married, has two daughters, and is a member of Lake Murray Baptist Church in Lexington.


Intern

Each year LBCC engages a graduate student intern usually from the Clinical Counseling Program at Columbia International University. He or she works with us for a year, seeing clients and assisting with groups for a reduced fee.  This intern is supervised both by our director and by the faculty at CIU. Contact our intake coordinator for more specific information regarding our intern for this year and his or her areas of developing expertise.
