The Global Impact Team (GIT) is a group of members dedicated to encouraging the church to give of their resources, to become involved by going, and to share Jesus with every person, from Lexington to the entire world. Specifically, the GIT is responsible for:

Educating our church family about the Biblical basis for missions and the local, national, and worldwide opportunities for being involved in carrying out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Informing our church family about missions’ activities that our church, convention, and individual Christians are involved in.

Providing opportunities for our people to be involved in ministry projects on a local and global basis.

Overseeing the Global Missions Offering by dispersing funds and providing accountability.

Church members pledge each year at the Global Impact Conference to give money to the Global Missions Offering. The amount of the pledges determines our yearly budget amount.

The Global Impact Team is entrusted with the overseeing of this money to ensure that every dollar is spent wisely and effectively for the Kingdom of God. Each sub team is given a certain portion of the overall budget and they determine how that money is spent.

A certain percentage goes to the IMB as well as to foreign national workers and missionaries of other agencies. The budget also helps to subsidize national and international trips in addition to funding various humanitarian and evangelistic projects around the world.

The GIT counts it a privilege to be able to serve God by overseeing His money. They are committed to making every dollar effective and strategic in the Kingdom of God.
