What is Starting Point?
Starting Point is a one-session introduction to Lexington Baptist Church which provides a broad overview of the mission, vision, and values of our church family as well as what it means to be a follower of Christ. Dinner is included! We’ll also help you connect to a small group and explore ministry opportunities that fit your unique gifts, interests, and talents.

Why do I need a membership class?
Becoming a member means that you desire to become a part of our spiritual family and have decided that this is your church home. Joining our church family also implies a greater commitment on your part and the class will provide you with the meaning of that commitment. Additionally, you’ll learn about the core beliefs of Lexington Baptist Church, meet the staff, and find out what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The class is also a great time to meet other new members just like you!

When will Starting Point be held?
Starting Point is held every other month throughout the year.

How can I sign up?
If you desire to take the next step and become a member of our growing family, register using the on-line registration form below. For more information, please call Rosevelt Morris at 996.8803. Childcare is available by reservation only (birth through three).

What happens after the class?
After completing the class, you will be presented to the Church body during a Sunday morning service following the last class. You will also be assigned a mentor who will help guide you and encourage you after you are presented.
