Making Disciples of Jesus Christ
In 2011, Lexington Baptist celebrated 118 years of ministry in Lexington. During all these years of ministry, the church’s membership size and buildings have changed and grown, but the mission of the church has not changed—to make disciples of Jesus Christ in Lexington and around the world.

The Lexington Baptist family is committed to a core of Biblical truth birthed in the life and message of Jesus Christ and preserved for us in the pages of God’s Word, the Bible. Our foundation of belief, teaching, and practice is rooted in the reality of eternal truth centered in the person of Jesus Christ.

There are areas of belief and practice about which sincere Bible-based Christians hold differing views. And, in essence, individual believers must be led by the Holy Spirit to decide these less essential issues.
